Sisoft in HIMSS Eurasia 2019 Turkey
 

HIMSS Eurasia 2019 Turkey, with the Platinum Sponsorship of Sisoft, took place at Istanbul Pullman Hotel Yenibosna between October 30th and November 1st in collaboration with Ministry of Health and HIMMS. The event took place with the participation of representatives from both private and public sectors that operate in healthcare information technologies sector, it received a great deal of interest from executives of local and foreign information technologies companies and of both private and public hospitals.
 
HIMSS Eurasia 2019 Healthcare Information Technologies Fair and EMRAM Training Conference opened the doors to healthcare information technologies professionals at Istanbul Pullman Hotel with the opening speeches of T.R. Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca, T.R. Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Health Suayip Birinci and III. President & CEO of HIMSS USA Harold “Hal” Wolf.
 
Speaking at the opening of HIMSS’19 Eurasia, the Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca said that hospitals need information systems to carry out all their operations, that they are trying to digitize their physical archives and that they aim to move from a filmless hospital to a paperless hospital, he furthermore stated “Our hospitals are striving to become “digital hospitals” of which we will see an example here. The process won’t stop here, the next step is to strive to become “smart hospitals”, furthermore the hospitals will require systems equipped with artificial intelligence.”
 
Stating that the use of information technologies completely changed health management and health service provision and that the search for data-based management, patient safety, service quality and efficiency arose Koca said, “The progress our country has made in this field is exemplary to the world in many aspects’’. As the Ministry of Health, we are both leading and supporting such activities. He stated the point that the country reached as “being the result of experiences and projects pursued in certain standards and only in competitive hospitals. We can now boast being a country with many healthcare software that we can call completely indigenous.’’
 
Globalization in Healthcare Information and Technologies Session was moderated by Prof. Dr. Melih Bulut. As a speaker in the session; Volitan Global Chairman T. Ufuk Eren, SEİS Chairman Metin Demir and Sisoft Chairman Omer Siso took stand. At the meeting where, big data and artificial intelligence were specified to change the health service delivery, the importance of R & D and value-added products was emphasized. In the session, Omer Siso stated that in order to take place among the developed or developing countries innovative technologies require high quality products, he continued his statement emphasizing the importance of matters such as big data and digital health to be a global player in the future.
 
The Sisoft stand was visited by foremost the T.R Minister of Health Dr. Fahrettin Koca and his deputy Dr. Suayip Birinci, III. President & CEO of HIMSS USA Harold “Hal” Wolf. TRNC Minister of Health Dr. Ali Pilli, Malaysian Minister of Health Dr. Dzulkefly Ahmad, Kazakh Minister of Health Yelzhan Birtanov, the Health Minister of Djibouti Mohammed Warsama Dirieh and other executives in health sector from both public and private sectors along with multiple professionals of Health and IT sectors.
